Pharmaceutical Cold Store

The existing storage halls of the EGIS Pharmaceutical Company in Körmend needed to be converted into cold stores for finished goods. The existing industrial floors of the storage halls and the backfills were removed to make space for a layer structure that suits the new function. Thermal insulation under the industrial floor is a must in the case of cold stores, and for this reason the construction company built the following layer structure:

• 17 cm reinforced industrial floor

• 2 layers of PE film

• 5 cm stone rubble

• 30 cm Energocell® foam glass granules, compacted at a 1:1.4 rate

• geotextile layer

• subsoil
